Updated Oct. 30, 2026: Spotlight updates now appear on newstreet.xyz first, then on X.

Key points

  • Street Lights, our morning brief, publishes every day at 8:30 a.m. ET, starting Friday, Oct. 30.
  • Spotlight brings short updates on newstreet.xyz, then X, during the trading day when news can’t wait for the next morning.
  • We cover Business & Corporate, Markets & Finance, Macroeconomics & Policy, and AI & Technology.
  • Every story rests on a primary source or at least two independent sources, and our view is always labeled.

Who we are

New Street is a news and analysis publication for finance and business readers, open to everyone. The name is a nod to Wall Street: a new street for the age of AI, technology and research, where the work is shown and readers can check it. We explain what happened, why it matters and what is still uncertain. We move fast, and accuracy comes first.

What you get

Street Lights is a full one-page report on what happened yesterday and overnight, and what to watch today, across all four of our areas. It goes live on newstreet.xyz at 8:30 a.m. ET every day, weekends and market holidays included, and follows on X a few minutes later. The first edition is Friday, Oct. 30.

Spotlight is how we cover news that breaks during the trading day: a short update, sometimes with a chart, table or graphic, that goes live on newstreet.xyz first and follows on X, published only when there is something new and worth knowing.

We also join the conversation on X, replying where we can add a useful fact, some context or a fair question.

How we work

We start with primary sources, such as an SEC filing or an agency release, and every Street Lights edition lists its sources in full on the site. Reporting and interpretation stay separate: when we offer a view, it is labeled New Street View. Corrections are made in the open.

How to reach us

Questions, tips and corrections go to [email protected]. Nothing we publish is investment advice. Our standards, labels and disclosures are at newstreet.xyz/methodology. Follow @NewStreetXYZ on X.
